mazda 121 water collecting in carburetor cover

    Hi, friend has a mazda 121 and water is collecting on the carburetor cover, any ideas where this could be coming from? there are no holes in the bonnet, doesnt appear to be leaking pipes from the windscreen washer hoses and the rubber seal above and behind the carburetor seems to be totally watertight...

    Possibly just splashed up from the road. If its not getting into the filter housing then I wouldn't worry about it, it will evaporate with the heat from the engine in no time.

    What about the rubber seal you can see in the pic under the wipers above the bulkhead?
