Could anybody shed some light as to where potential mature students can get grants/bursaries for part time education ?

    Thanks

Talking to the colleges themselves would be a start. Some prospectuses will include a list of grants, etc., but there may be other money as well. Depending on the industry, the main players and professional organisations may also offer funding.

You might also get a bit more help if you change the title of your post, just a thought.

You can claim tax back from Revenue for certain types of course fees. But on the whole there isn't very much part-time education support. There is no formal grant system for part-time courses as there is for full-time and as Victor said financial support often depends on the college or if you have access to funding through work or professional bodies.
