Blue screen, grrr...

I get this from time to time. It doesn't seem to be related to any running program, it can happen when sitting on the desktop with nothing major in the background.

Can any info be gleaned from the info in the screenshot?

I think it might be hard drive or motherboard related as I notice the HDD is not recognized occasionally during POST and I have to reboot.

Running windows 7 64-bit
Intel Core i5 2500k
8GB RAM
Nvidia GTX 560 Ti

IN my experience,could be pc overheating, or you have 1 or more virus, s ..
do a full virus scan .TRY F8 ,SAFE mode with networking.
Does it still crash.
Have you got at least 3gig free space on drive c.

I have known this to happen as a result of a build-up of dust in the fins of the heat dissipation block on top of the chip, together with a build up of crud on the blades of the cooling fan. A clean out with a can of compressed air solves it, but make sure the fan is disconnected first or it will spin it the air blast and generate a current that could damage something!

Open it up and check your connections.

I would suggest checking memory and hard disk for errors, see if either are causing the issue
