Hi guys, looking to buy a router compatible with the E353 dongle. Just signed up for the 3 National Broadband Scheme with the 25g allowance. The Dovado doesn't appear to be compatible with the following taken for their website.
Huawei E353s-2 (NOT HiLink E353Ws-2 sold by 3 Sweden and others)
Mine is the Ws-2, any advice greatly received.

Without wanting to confuse you, the HiLink *is* a Huawei product though, just to say that.. I think it uses some newfangled way of connecting a user, different from their other dongle products.

DC-Unlocker can't unlock it.. Dovado not compatible.. all a bit strange.

Product promo on the Huawei website suggests it is 'driverless' in some new manner. Odd.

Yeah it seems the E353s-2 is compatible with the Dovado but not the Ws-2. Might just have to try and swap the dongle for maybe the B260a but losing the mobile ability of the dongle.

I've also heard a reliable report that the TP-Link routers don't support it either even though there is a new bin file that supposed to support it.

btw can't wait to get my hands on one would be a first if I couldn't unlock it :D
