I went on a 60km spin yesterday and by the end my knees were killing me. I'm assuming I should get the bike fitted professionally, but I don't have a whole lot of cash. How much is it likely to cost, and where's the best place to get it done?

100 quid with bike fit ireland, worth the money, longterm physio bills will be a significant multiple of a bike fit

Often when you get sore knees the saddle is to low, when sitting on the saddle you should only have a slight bend in your knees, check out this link

depends on where the pain is in the knees !

the saddle might need to be raised or lowered, or it could be the cleat positions.

Pain seems to be on the side of the knee, facing out. Mostly just the one knee

Make sure your cranks and pedal axles aren't loose or bent

You could try using this if needed a budget option: http://www.competitivecyclist.com/za/CCY?PAGE=FIT_CALCULATOR_INTRO

Not sure if its any good though.
