Question for NovaTec Hub users

Attempting my first wheel build and was hoping to get my hands on some NovaTec superlights, which seem to have a reliable reputation. Need a 20/24-front/rear with shimano free hub.

Looking online I can't tell which ones are the Superlights used by Wheelsmith etc. as they're just identified by product code/serial number.

Any of you guys with Wheelsmith builds or Novatec hubs - what number is printed on them?

Of course, recommendations for other hubs would be very welcome.

Not sure if this is any use to you, but eBay seller of carbon wheels "Carbonspeedcycle" uses Novatec hubs...........perhaps you can get some info here? http://stores.ebay.co.uk/carbonspeedcycle?_trksid=p4340.l2563

I have these novatecs from a build from wheelsmith and they are ok for the price.

If I were you I would get this and this from bikehubstore. They are more or less the same hub, but some say that they have bit better bearings. I am waiting mine any day now for a new wheel build.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

AstraMonti - those bikehubstore ultralights seem like a good option. I'll do a bit more research but on first browse the feedback on them seems quite good. Would be interested to know how you get on with your build on them.

    Now... spokes:

On starbike - Are DT Swiss aero lites really worth €44 extra (for 44 spokes) than silver Sapim CX Rays? Any difference in perfomance or strength?

And... is it worth spending €18 more for black Sapim CX Rays rather than silver for extra stealthiness?
