just a quick question for those DiY road bike building enthusiasts

is it possible to buy a bike in kit form and assemble yourself? don't think I have ever seen one for sale in this country anyway

I know from reading on here its actually cheaper to buy a new bike rather than buy all the bits and assemble yourself but often wondered about the kit form option

anyone even got any links to websites that sell road bikes in kit form

Buy a bike, take it apart and put it back together.

there is no difference between this and a kit bike, as the individual selection of parts is out of your hands, it only results in a little more time spent taking the bike apart.

the only ifficult bit is fitting headsets and cutting steerer tubes everything else is just a matter off right tools. I doubt a factory build would take very long soon wouldnt knock much off the price
