Starting a new job?

    I got offered a job and i think i will be starting this week,i have been on the dole for the last two years and i'm not quiet sure what documents my employer will ask me for?

    If he asks for a p45 or a p60 where can i optain them?

    You won't need a P45 or P60 as you have not paid tax this year (or last year).

    If you can find your tax credits certificate (Revenue sends them out to people) bring that along, otherwise the payroll person (or you) can get your tax credits from Revenue directly.

    Either you or new employer must contact Revenue to register the new employment. Revenue the send a certificate of tax credits to your employer to allow them to tax your correctly. This is the same procedure your employer would do if you had a valid p45 to give him. P60s are not given to new employers.
