    Are they any good?
    Where to get one?

I want to sea swim but want to bring the temp up a bit.
One option is a wet suit and another is a special swimming T shirt Ive heard about.

I presume you are talking about a Rash Vest you should be able to buy them online easy enough try amazon or any swimming or surfing web site.

Obviously not as warm as a wet suit but handy for keeping the major chills at bay

What do you think of torso swimming wet suits? Too restrictive ? The bees knees ?

It depends on your body shape some people have more built in insulation than others but for someone like yourself and with the weather getting warmer I would say a good pair of neoprene swim shorts and a rash vest will be fine to start with. If you get into it and feel you need a wetsuit then you can get one next season I wouldnt go running out buying lots of expensive gear just yet.

The swimming fraternity wouldnt be very fond of the wetsuit folks where as I reckon if it gets more people in the water who cares what you wear.

Also wear a good swim hat your head gets freezin and that is the one thing that always hurts I think.

these were just in the Lidl ad for this week (at least in the Dublin area) starting Thursday - 10th May. Like an insulated bodysuit for swimming. Have a look.

What brand is best fitting? Im rugby player / bulky build. Don't mind paying a few extra € for a decent well cut one.

If you don't mind spending extra few quids then go for a full one

Also an easy trick with a hat instead of buying neoprene one get a cotton hat and put a silicon on top (or two if it's really cold;) )
