I recently picked up a 20-35mm Canon, second hand, and it's a cracking wee lens on the 5Dii. Instantly became my new default.

usually cant decide what lens combo to take on hols .... in recent years it has had to include underwater DSLR and underwater housing for some scuba images/video, which generally means at a minimum 16-35mm and 50mm macro, as well as macro and wide ports and underwater strobe, also have to have a bridge camera for back-up underwater so...Canon G10 and housing....and then a DSLR body for general pics with 24-70mm and 70-200mm....and a backup bridge camera just incase of problems Canon G11....and spare batteries, o-rings, chargers etc

I usually end out using all of them at some point ... in 2007 I took a trip to USA with the girlfriend (now fiancee) .... ended up approx €300 overweight for every flight ....Dublin-Toronto, San Fran, Hawaii, Maui, Vegas and New York and back to Dublin....and I brought a Hasselblad H1 on that trip with a few lenses and a tripod and other bits and pieces - havent used the Hasselblad since.

My previous comment here was removed as someone thought it was an attack. For the record, it was a joke. I thought it was very clearly a joke. There was a big cheesy smiley in place of any ambiguous text.

    :D <- like that.
