Not finding much online so I'm assuming no. Transitioning from Blueface/Vonage to Skype and trying to figure out my best handset option. Want 2 wireless handsets. Was looking at the GE handsets on skype.com but it looks like they have pulled them.

Any other suggestions for handsets to use with skype? Should I just get a freetalk adapter?

Skype for Asterisk is no longer available for sale. Skype for Asterisk will be supported for two more years, until July 26, 2013. http://www.digium.com/en/products/software/skypeforasterisk.php

Why do you want to get away from Blueface? You can't port any numbers to Skype, they have no agreements with eircom.:o

Not exactly sure what you mean. It's all about cost for me. Skype is working out about $300 cheaper anually when compared with a similar level of service I was getting from the Blueface/Vonage combo. Don't care about numbers at all (any number will do) and I have not dealt with eircom for years.

Eircom manage the PSTN, doesn't matter if you use them or not. What would you be calling most that costs you?

I have found blueface fine, however if you want something cheaper take a look at goldfish.

Anyway, you can't access the skype service by SIP unless you have a PBX or you use skype business

Skype offer a sip service, for about 10 euro a month per extension, see http://www.skype.com/intl/en/business/skype-connect/

I have used this for test purposes with a small office pbx.
