Turning Off Sky+HD Box

    Cant believe I'm askin such a basic question:D but what is the correct way to turn OFF the box before I remove it.

    The power light on the box only shows Green and Amber (Standby) but no red light for Off.

    Try holding down the power button on the box for about 10 seconds, if the light turns red it's fully off, this works on the newer boxes but not sure on older models.

    yup thought of that like a pc but with all things digital ya can't be too careful.

    I plugged it out on standby. Anyway buyer just wants the hard drive out of it so guess he will format that anyway.
