I'm thinking about studying one of the Computer Sciences at Trinity. The course details say you can spend 3rd year studying in a University in Belgium, Germany, France or the U.K.

Can I study at any university I want in these countries? I'm mostly looking at the UK. I'd like to go to London the most.

It would depend on whether the college takes part in Erasmus and whether they apply a quota or not.

From what I can tell, these are the colleges for CS:

Belgium UCL - Université Catholique de Louvain
    Germany Universität Bielefeld
    Germany Universitat Bremen
Germany Universität Fridericiana (Technische Hochschule) Karlsruhe
    Germany University of Munich
    Germany Universitat Osnabruck
    Germany Universität des Saarlandes
    Germany Universität Stuttgart
    Germany Universität Trier
    Germany Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen
France Université Joseph Fourier Grenoble I
France Universite Pierre Mendes Grenoble II
France Université Stendhal - Grenoble III
    France Université Lumière (Lyon II)
France Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon - INSA

Well, I am a third year CS student on erasmus at the minute. There used to be a page on the SCSS website about where you could go for CS but it seems to be gone... it was only France, Germany and Belgium though and there was a list of approved universities.

Not sure if you know about the change in course structure in the CS degree where they're introducing an integrated masters. I know I have had some difficulties in getting clarification on whether I would be allowed to do it or not, seeing as there is a grade requirement in third year to be admitted and I've spent mine abroad. So maybe they're not letting students from CS do erasmus anymore for that reason, but I'm not sure.

The erasmus year for CSL is compulsory though, so if it's something you really want to do maybe that could be an option.

Wasn't Scotland an option before too (even if it were just for Irish studies?)?

It was, but not anymore. I know there was a student last year studying CSLI who couldn't go abroad, not sure why but I imagine it was something to do with the agreement between the universities (or lack of).
