For my money the best artist working today When I first heard Strange Mercy I thought it was kinda meh, but it's just full of ear worms. Now it's my favourite album of the last while and on heavy, heavy rotation.

    Plus live she just kills:

Number 1 reason to go to Body & Soul IMO.

    Thoughts?

I think strange mercy is a great album, i need to check our her second one. I'd love to see her live but can't justify the price of body and soul.

100 quid for the weekend? That's pretty good. Amazing festival too by all accounts. Not too many acts I'd be bothered about though...

hadnt really listened to her before and then caught them on Jools last night - wow

another reason to go to Body and Soul. but shhhh...don't tell anyone.... i can't afford the ticket until next payday and i don't want it selling out...:)

    ps
if you like you're blissed-out ambient, house also check out Jon Talabot who's playing B & S too - very excited about seeing him.

Yeah, I saw her on Jools last night. The sound was kinda crappy though which was a shame cos the performance was pretty good.

I checked out John Talabot there, I do like my blissed out house alright. I caught Kuedo in the Twisted Pepper t'other night. Not exactly BOH but similarly nice and trippy. One thing I've found about electronic acts is that there's not much to look at and keep you interested. Visual impact is a big deal. This was true of Kuedo.

Those Jools Holland performances for anyone who missed it (the first one's from the Tuesday live show):

yeah with you there. the electronic guys need some good AV and/or lights goin on. at that time of night a fair few fine folks will be a bit blissed out themselves too :) that helps the performer no doubt.

Ha. I went in sober. It was an early show (well, 9.30) and there was a fair few people in a similar situation as myself I reckon. All discerning like. Few dudes madjouvih too though, no doubt!
