Pre - ordering black ops 2, really ?

    I walked into my local game emporium yesterday to be presented by a whole bunch of black ops 2 posters. I thought it must be out in the next month or two, but looking closer its not until the usual time of about November.

    I have played and enjoyed plenty of COD games, but at this stage it seems madness to me for people to be paying a preorder for a game thats not out for 6 months, and that will probably get its own set of bookshelfs in each video game shop due to the vast quantities they will be shifting.

    Whats worse is that it will probably be more of the same but with even more ludicris chase scenes, betrayals, twists and back flips on exploding jeeps.

    Familiarity and knowing what your getting is nice and all, but its like booking to going to McDonalds for that sneaky guilty pleasure IMO.

    But you get exclusive DLC...which will most likely be included as part of a bundle released a week after the actual game is released.

    As much as i hate Call of Duty, we don't need another COD bashing thread.

    Look at any game shops and you'll see pre-orders for games that have just been announced. Black Ops will be massive, so why wouldn't they get the pre-orders up straight away?

    this whole preorder 5 years before release and get part of the game, which should be in game already makes me really annoyed lately. and i am not talking about cod only.

    I'm actually surprised its so late. I'm working and Smyths and I think we had MW3 inlays and that by early March if I remember correctly.

    This thread got moved in from the general gaming forum, mainly because I was thinking it had to do pre orders as much as the COD series.

    I thought it would be height of madness to post it in the COD forum myself..

    Your OP was 90% Black Ops, 10% pre-order outrage. :)

    The COD mods can move it back if they want.
