Most of QSat's customers are in NBS counties says Niall Quinn.

That claim should not be to surprising except that
    1. The NBS contract stipulates 95% mobile fulfilment
    2. QSat does not have the contract for the remaining 5% satellite allowance.
    3. QSat's satellite deal is twice the price of the NBS satellite deal
    4. There are 25,000 unserved homes outside the NBS.

He was speaking on RTE Countrywide last week. 28/04/2012

Includes NBS horror from Donegal caller.
"Skype to your heart's content" on Qsat according to Quinn

And why is Eutelsat letting a guy with no track record resell?
    They have zero infrastructure.
Why is Government keen on him
Why does he get free air time?

He is doing less "transparently sold" what existing companies in Ireland already do with more transparent marketing at the same price.

I'm not using the word honest. But yet again ASAI is shown to be pointless.

And again on the Last word now (May 11th 17:46). Its one of those mutual scratching events.

    Update:

    70 staff
5000 customers. (Not sure if they're all in Ireland)

    One staff per 71 customers!

All they do is resell Tooway and install. That's a crazy ratio.

The internet contention on Tooway isn't as good as that!

Qsat supply via the Hylas system where the contention is probably even worse?

Ka-Sat has 5 spots for Hiberno-British-Western etc Isles. Super wide bandwidth on each spot
Hylas1 has two Ka band spots that also cover part of Scandinavia and Netherlands. Also it's unlikely though possible that they have as much Ka-band capacity as some is for military use. It's a much lower Satellite, so likely Hylas1 contention is much poorer.

One UPC street cabinet or one Eircom Rural exchange can have more capacity than ALL the Irish available Satellite capacity combined. A few Metro Fixed Wireless masts have more capacity.
