    Hi All,

My grandparents got a fella out today to fit a box for them cos their BBCs went. Just wonerding does anyone know can a "Tower Electronic SR2100" box pick up both BBC and RTE as its awful confusing tryin to teach them how to swap between Digital and AV1 on their telly!? I think I seen in another house I was in that they had all the RTEs and BBCs running off the digital reciever box but donno how this can be done?
    Any help GREATLY APPRECIATED!!

    Thanks
    audi02!

that box is only for satellite, a combo box like the ferguson one would cover them , all channels on the same box. http://www.satellite.ie/acatalog/HD_Ariva_120_Combo_Box.html#aFerguson120Combo

they will not get rte stations after oct 24 on the setup they have now.

They have this box connected to a saorview ready tv so will they still need to get another box in oct or will this new telly automatically pick up rte's??

    Thanks!

If the TV is saorview ready, and if they can currently get RTE2 with the HD logo on the screen then they will be fine.

A combo box will allow the use of one remote and one channel list, which is what I think you need. All combo boxes currently for sale have limited record ability. You can only record what you are watching. You also need to buy external hard drive seperately and connect it. -best to buy from same supplier.

If the future we hope better recording boxes will come on the market with similar features to a Sky box.

Does the saorview on this box recieve 7 day epg?
I suspect the satellite is now and next, still looks handy to have all the channels on one.

as you say 7 days for Saorview, now and next for Sat
