    Hi guys,

She failed on lambda at 1.04...needs to be .97-1.03
Exhaust is leaking so hopefully fixing that will sort the above.
Is 1.04 far out, Im guessing its pretty close?

This was a retest and the Vin number missing was only pointed out this time and is a fail.
Any ideas where this should be on a '00 206 and how do i get it sorted?

    Thanks for any help

edit: more info on the emissions fail in case its useful
    High idle@3110rpm
    lambda:1.04
    CO 0.01vol%
    HC 25ppm

    1) Windscreen bottom, passenger side
    2) Open boot doors, see lower lip where it meets with bumper

Just checked and its clearly visible in both places
I could see him searching around with a flashlight under the bonnet for ages, he never looked at the base of the windscreen or went near the boot. Surely this is something they should know??

Anyway, thats one thing sorted, anyone have any input on the emmisions figures?

    check there:
The emissions failure could well be due to a hole in the exhaust. Low CO and HC and Lambda >1.03 would suggest this.

Bottom of the windscreen should be the first place anyone would look on a modern car.

That is not acceptable for NCT purposes. They want the stamped number.

It is stamped on the lip in the boot, thats one of the first things i learned about them when i started selling cars, every nct tester should know this

And thats exactly where it is!! The tester was very gruff and unhelpful.
He shoved the report at me and all he said was "failed on emissions, look at the exhaust" and walked away. Did not even mention the VIN number. Went down to mechanic to sort the exhaust. They were incredulous that the tester put the VIN as a fail. Hope I don't get the same tester again on the retest or he might find something else to fail it on
