charging jack damaged

    hi, the charging jack on my laptop is damaged and very loose so the charger is not charging it properly, can anyone tell me if these can be soldered back in place and whats the cost to do this

    It depends very much on the model, some are easier to take apart, some have the socket directly soldered onto the motherboard, some have a cable that plugs in. If the former, you may have mobo damage. If its just socket damage, expect a shop to charge the guts of 100 euro.

    Hiya
    I got a guy on adverts to fix mine, i forget his name, he mostly fixes iphone screens, i think its mike??
    Anyway he collected it fixed the power jack, gave me a new geniune charger and brought it back to me all for 50e, which was a bargain compared to what i was getting quoted.
    Have a look on adverts if you can't find him yourself and want his name pm me and i'll have a look for it.
