    Hey all,
    While I have been to Bangkok mainy times, mainly the commcial district, I have never been to khoa san road. Just wondering whats it like?
    Any good hotels, bars, shopping centres, etc.
    Going to asia next week and will probably stay there at some stage.
    All responses welcome.

    Bars good, Hotels not great but fairly cheap, restaurants good but not so clean, we had a rat come introduce himself half way through our main course. One of the main reasons people go there apart from the bar scene is because it's full of travel agents for you to book your next travel excursion at a good price. It's often done through hotels by visiting travel agents.

    Shopping is market stalls with the usual knock off tack and there are plenty of thai's selling glowing nick knacks. Don't encourage them unless your interested or they'll haunt you and also set their wee kiddies on you for the sympathy purchase.

    i agree ^^^

    i've been there a few times, its getting more commercial everytime i get there. it is defo worth a visit if you've never been.

    easy way to descibe it would be to compare it to temple bar. brilliant the first few times you go, then the magic fades...SO MORE BEER PLEASE!!!
