You'd be better off with web radio, there's nothing decent on the AM/FM airwaves these days, there was 'Tonic fm' (is that still airing?) but it was predominantly electro-housey stuff rather than covering a broad spectrum of 'dance music' genres.

trance & house are the dominant genres on tonik, the lad who owns it is mad into trance. techno gets a look in too, but not as much as the other two. i asked him if he'd ever have a dnb show, and he was all for the idea, sound guy, did a course in music with him.

I can tell ya they played nothing but recent/up to date electro housey type stuff during work hours (8am-4.30am) as I was tuned in to it most days on my dog n bone throughout the day.....it was either that or listen to the shyte on FM104

but then again me not knowing one genre from the next maybe it was all trance & techno ;)

:o Well I wouldn't say 'worked' but I was employed in a place years ago (way back in 1990) with almost everybody from my estate,we packed a few pallets from 8pm till midnight (or a little after) then mostly played poker and on occasion had 'parties' .......but that's a whole other story.

But,unlike nowadays, back then the radio was full of 'rave' stations and we didn't have to wait until 10pm on Fridays ;)

ah good aul sunset 107fm, they were the days alright. i'm not the biggest house fan these days myself (some of it's good tho) and haven't been a fan of trance since the late 90's, so i rarely listen to fm radio myself these days, except for the odd bit of dnb i catch from time to time.
internet radio is definitely alot better imo, more choice than ya get on the likes from fm here. that said, most of the people i know are into house & techno, so i would imagine that tonik actually cater for the majority (could be wrong) of the younger crowd, who are on the club scene these days.
