I have an option to work in france for an Irish company but remain under the Irish employment system for one year. Has anyone out there don't similar ? Also what are the tax implications with regard to renting out my house if I have to move abroad with my job. Are there exemptions of person who have to move abroad as part of their job as I would have to rent in france and also to cover my mortgage payment let out my house in Ireland:confused:

Most employers help staff out with this sort of thing. Otherwise you will probably need professional advice.

    Some thoughts here...

    1. Your tax liability in respect of any rental income will be rent paid less any expenses and mortgage interest paid in respect of the house.

    2. You will have to register for tax in France but you will declare your income earned abroad.

    3. Regarding health cover you will have to complete form S1 to have your public health cover transferred from Ireland to France (you're on a real winner here as the French system is pretty good).

    Go for it!
