    Hi All,

My cousin posted a small parcel for me on 26th April by normal mail from the UK and it still has not arrived. Should I just assume that its been lost/ stolen at this stage? I read on the royal mail website it takes 3-4 working days.Wouldn't mind it's the most expensive thing I have bought!

Has anyone had similar experience?Starting to get hacked off now!

It's only been a week. I wouldn't worry yet. In my experience parcels from the UK take between 2 days and 2 weeks.
I once got a parcel from Germany after 3 months. According to the labels on it it went to Iceland first.

Was it registered? There's less insurance available if it isn't registered.

If you have any kind of tracking number, just put it into both An Post's and the Royal Mail's sites.

You'll get updates from the Royal Mail until it leaves the UK and from An Post from the first scan in Ireland.

If you've no track & trace, there's not a whole lot you can do other than report it if it doesn't turn up within about 28 days.

Normally, I find to London anyway, it only takes about 2 working days, 3 at most.

That being said, I find the mail in the UK kind of unreliable. They seem to lose a lot of stuff.
I've had packages/envelopes delivered opened, without content. (posted in England and to English addresses).

In general, you're better to send anything remotely valuable with a barcode on it.
If there are thieves in the mail sorting centres, they're less likely to go after tracked mail as it will be much more likely to be followed up on and the system knows where it was handled.

I had 2 parcels sent from the UK the 28th March from the same person first parcel got here on the 30th March and the other one never arrived, lost somewhere in between. Royal mail blaming An post and vice versa
