EMC Light on 04 Toyota Corolla Carvan - Catch 22

    Hello All,

    I have a 04 Toyota Corolla Carvan.

Last week the EMC light came on and the local mechanic changed the starter plugs which caused the light to go off again. However, a few days later,it came back on.

As it happens today, i am working beside a Toyota main dealers in Ennis and heard the ad for the €120 service on the radio this morning.

I brought the car into them thinking their diagnostics may be better than the local guys ones. I told them he had just replaced the heater plugs last week and that the light stayed off for a few days.

The Toyota garage phoned me later this morning saying that the heather plugs were causing the problem. I said they were new. Yes my son - but not TOYOTA original ones!

Are any other ones non-runners ? My local mechanic says they are perfect.

    What would you do?

    Any help much appreciated.

    Regards,

    Chevy RV
