Dodgy Lucozade - lost my Vision!

Strange one this and I'm not taking the michael.

I bought a bottle of Lucozade from a vending machine not 4 hours ago. After consuming hallf the bottle in about 2-3 minutes I started to feel dizzy and I knew something wasn't right. The next thing I start loosing my vision and I lost total vision for about 10-15 seconds. When my vision came back it was extremely blurry as if I had someone (with bad eyesights) glasses on. I went to the bathroom and flushed my eyes and face with cold water and it took about 5 minutes to regain perfect vision.

Very strange experience as I have drank Lucozade before and never had this problem. The bottle was sealed and the best before date is Sep12. When I came back into the room I (obviously) stopped drinking it but I smelt the bottle and told the people around me what had just happens. I senced a very strange smell coming from the bottle so I have kept it and am wondering what I should do...

Obviously I should go to my doctor if it happens again, but I would like to get the sample tested by an independent body or labatory to put my concious at ease that it's not my health.

    What are your opinions?
    Thanks

Contact GSK, they sell Lucozade. I'm sure there's a helpline number on the bottle somewhere.

Sometimes Lucozade does funny things to me too..

Think it's something to do with your blood sugar levels..

Go to your doctor to get it checked is the best thing to do.

Yea but sure sending a sample to them for checking isn't really going to be independent. It doesn't smell near right

It'd probably be easier and cheaper to go to your doctor to get you checked than sending off the bottle to get checked! Keep the bottle just in case.

But if it was me I'd go to the doctor first then worry about the Lucozade!

    :)

I will do that. It would be good to get an ole check up I suppose. Thanks

Agree with the above posts, sounds to me that you had an overload on sugar causing your blood sugar levels to rise. Definitely get it checked out, I know its e50 to e60 to visit a Dr but worth it

You can't seek medical advice on an Internet forum. This thread doesn't belong anywhere on this site. See a doctor.
