Wheel bearing replacement.

    Here's the scenario.
    You find out that one of your front wheel bearings (bearing hub type) is on the way out.
    Would you just replace the bearing that's causing the problem, or would you replace both of them?

    Just one at a time IMO.

    They tend not to wear at the same time and there is no labour to be saved by replacing both at once.

    When I was getting my front left hub replaced, I was told by the mech that I need only replace the one that's causing trouble ... as The Doc has already said. He also told me that he usually sees front lefts going because of the abuse they get with the dodgy left edges to rural roads on our fair isle. Not sure how true that is though. Suppose it makes sense.

    had one go dodgy on the right hand side only changed the dodgy one though...nothing to be saved in replacing the two
