No idea how good or bad this antivirus programme is but it also includes a firewall and its free and can be downloaded here

    Download.com say this
Available now, ZoneAlarm Free Antivirus+Firewall 2013 could very well make big waves in the free security-suite space. It's the same free firewall that ZoneAlarm has produced for years, but with basic antivirus and anti-malware tools included. It's basically ZoneAlarm Pro Antivirus+Firewall from last year, with an updated engine

I had a paid version of zone alarm firewall and anti virus and had to uninstall it last week as it did not detect several viruses .

I hate to admit it but I have to agree here. I work in IT and am able to find and resolve viruses myself so am never too bothered by it. Im the goto guy for the neighbours, 1 of them asked me to look at a problem he had a few months ago and he had paid version of the zonealarm and had contracted a pretty nasty google redirect virus. zonealarm had just missed it.

You can get the best of all free for download software at the following link including the top 10 free antivirus security.

Im currently recommending avira for home use.

Yeah - Zone Alarm was a pretty decent piece of software, until it was taken over by new owners. Went downhill rapidly afterwards.

MSE does the job just grand, and it's free.
