Sony small hifi system

I have small Sony Hifi (think they were called midi system) which is 9yrs old and still is a great little piece of kit. The problem is in the last week its started to turn itself on when we're not at home. Is there any reasonable/technical reason for this phenomen or should I get the house blessed as a matter of urgency?…

Does it have a remote or touch sensors?
Sunlight (or reflections) has been known to activate remote controlled equipment.

Sometimes switches can get sticky, could it be something like that.
