Hi. I have been flying over to Latvia every 2 months for the past while. I'm looking to go again in the last week in June. No matter what option I take (whether it be fly into riga, tallinn, vilnius or kaunus), I can't seem to get an affordable deal. Anyone have any ideas. As you can see, I am flexible if I can get the price down!

You could try flying through oslo rygge with ryanair.

    23rd to 28th june

    dub -rygge 7.00 - 10.10 €14.99

    rygge -dub 21.55- 23.10 €14.99

Wbsit just crashed so can't check flights from Rygge but know they fly to Tallinn, Riga and Kaunus.

From bargain alerts, www.wizzair.com have a sale on at the moment that would get you to vilnius from cork, you have to buy a membership though (which gives you extra discounts) but it might be worth it for you if you're travelling regularly.

Yes, good one alright. I had checked this and thought I was on to a winner. However, I either can't get a reasonably priced flight onwards - or the timings or dates don't work for me.

I *think* I checked this - but hadn't considered the membership. Will check out once more now..

Thanks to you both for posting ;-)

If I get flights via stockholm or oslo - but only have carry on luggage - will I have to go through security and all that palaver again - or can I just stay within departure lounge (assuming that my incoming flight into either of these lets incoming passengers into these areas by default...or are they separated?

In rygge (oslo) you have to go through again as far as I remember. That said it's a tiny airport and everything moves quickly so should be very quick.

have you considered somewhere like Gdansk, then bus or train the rest of the way?

Thanks Kevin. Just going for a few days - so no matter what combination I used, couldn't really make it into a feasible option. Checked out at €244 - €100 more than my last few trips - but exactly for the times that I want. Summer season is summer season I guess...
