    Hi all,

Planning on taking a trip to somewhere in Europe on Sunday for 4-7 days with the missus. Nothing booked yet! We were thinking along the lines of Italy (Sorrento or Rome) or Barcelona. Basically somewhere with decent enough weather so that she can lounge around outdoors some of the time, and with enough interesting things to do so that I don't get bored of all the lounging around!

Any suggestions? Budget ~€6-700 each. Can't find many packages left at this stage so we're looking down the route of Ryanair + hotel...

    Thanks!

    Rob

Sardinia is really nice, weather should be decent enough at this time of year. Ryanair flew on Sunday's last summer and flights were cheap enough.

Not really sure about accommodation we booked with justsardinia.co.uk a few years ago when we stayed in Alghero but stayed in the north of the island last summer and just booked independently.

You could do a week in Biarritz. Skyscanner.net is showing prices for flights out on 6th and back on 13th for €120 (plus charges) per person. I think that might cover all your bases in terms of weather/activities and gives you a good budget to stay put and stay in luxury or hire a car and explore a bit.

If you go to www.skyscanner.net you can select your departure point and dates of travel and it'll search for prices for flights everywhere and you can then narrow by country.

Thanks for the recommendations. Turns out some last minute holidays to Sorrento came up last night so we went for one of them. €500 each - happy days!
