Hi, I'm just looking if anyone can help me on this, I'm on the one one parent family, I'm not receiving any support from the father and have just moved out of my parents home, my rent is above the dent supplement in cork so I'm looking to move somewhere new but I can't afford the deposit for a new place, how long does the rent supplement take to go through? I'm absolutely broke from moving out and genuinely have no clue what to do, help!!

go into the dole and ask them.....or go to your community welfare officer...also take the father to court and make him pay his way,oh and go get yourself on the council waiting list

When it suits him, he doesn't play a huge role in my sons life unfortunely. I've never prevented him from seeing him or anything, but realistically, his life hasn't changed at all since b.c (before child) :)
