Is Paypal a good middleman service?

    If you sell something, the buyer pays Paypal.
    What happens then?
    Do Paypal have to get the ok from the buyer that they received the goods before you get your money from Paypal?
    I'd imagine if you sent the item by registered post you have proof that the item was sent so the buyer can't say they didn't receive it.
    Would people recommend it for purchases on sites like Donedeal etc?
    Does it offer security to buyer and seller?

    No.

    There are some security measures for both parties, but there are several way around them, and scams are very common by both sellers and buyers.

    What do Paypal charge? A % of sale?
    So basically Paypal is just a money transfer with no payment or delivery guarantees??
