    Hi all

Just wanted to put out the word about a new show we're organising over at BMWClassicsIreland.com for the 27th May for classic BMWs.

The first proper Irish event to cater for all classic BMWs, it's being hosted by independent BMW specialist and classic BMW fan Mark Allen at his premises in Straffan Co Kildare and BCI members.

It's essentially a show 'n' shine event for all classic BMWs up to the late 1980s, including 02s, e3s, e9s, e12s (five series), e21 (three series), e23s (seven series), e24s (six series), e28s (five series), and e30s (three series) etc as well as special editions, such as M cars and Alpinas. We'd hope to see some older and rarer models, such as Z1s and Neue Klasses and perhaps the odd motorcycle.

If it goes well, we're hoping to make it an annual event.

1 Show and Shine: prizes on the day for the best cars.
2 Open workshop on classic beemers, featuring a number of different classics up on ramps.
3 Free tech factsheets handouts for all classic beemer models.
    4 Complimentary tea and coffee.
5 On-site mechanics (if you want to ask them anything or get them to have a look at your car).
6 More stuff to be confirmed closer to the date

Any Boardsies definitely interested in coming along: do let us know by signing up to our website (its very easy, no fee or anything) and ticking the RSVP box on the events page.

    thanks
    John

Shaping up to be a great event this Sunday, and it looks as though the sun has decided to come along too.

All welcome, just register on the day if you are bringing a classic beemer along, otherwise just drop in if you're interested in anything to do with classic beemers. Will be a raffle collection on the day in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.

Facebook page here, with Google mapped directions to the (slightly out of the way) location: http://www.facebook.com/events/404723649567959/
