E-mailing Wage Slips

    Hi

I need to send in payslips in support of a JSA claim. I have no confidence that they will be received and dealt with by my local Welfare Office as they've lost paperwork before, claiming non-receipt and then tried to close my claim.

Do you think e-mailing it with a covering note will be sufficient. My e-mail client allows for delivery and read receipts.

    TIA :)

    Do they accept e-mails?

Can you provide them with photocopies?

Sending them by registered post is a must do, it will give you a papertrail should anything go belly up

You would need to have the name and email address of a particular person in your local office.

I've e-mailed stuff in the past, But I had a name to send it to....

Think I might go the registered post route then...

    Thanks to all! :)

That is a waste of money. Can you not get the name of someone and put it for their attention and drop it into the letter box. I presume you are dealing with hanover st.

Yes, I am. It is the same office that managed to lose personal documentation and managed to lose personal paperwork on a regular basis. That is why I'm wary of calling in as they are so careless.

I would call in and get them to take photocopies of all the original documents.Do you have the name of the person who requested the payslips?
If you want to email them and you dont have the name to address it to all them offices have section accounts, there should be info on the welfare website of where to send it to.

Having dealt with Social Welfare and had Documents claimed as being lost when i knew they were not I insisted on sending important Docs by email and demanded an email address and eventually got it after a struggle. I now send paper copies and email with a read and delivery receipt.
Social welfare still live in the dark ages if they say they cannot accept email in 2012.
If they say they get lost in the post insist on an email address as backup and send them the paper copy also if they want it
