Just wondering what other peoples thoughts are on it. I have a small bottle and used it last weekend. It is about 5 years old and was a nightmare to get off my wifes car hope it lasts a long time.

Its not the best to be honest....well IMO :)

The fact that it was sitting there for 5 years wouldnt have helped removal, but it wouldnt be the easiest anyways.

I still have some of a 1-litre bottle of Mer I bought in about 1988! For the craic I tried it on the OH's car last Autumn and it was AOK.

It needs a bit more elbow to remove it once dried. And the white solids are very noticable where they get into cracks.

But it still gave a great shine and good protection.

Doesn't last as long as the modern products though.

I bought the glass polish lately and used it, find it a lot less messy than the Autoglym glass polish and does an excellant job.

I've never used the car polish but I was reading a review in one of my monthly mags and it seemed to be rated very highly.

    Mer is crap.

When it rains you will see white streaks down your paint.
Throw it out and get some more modern products.
