Lot of variables, how much use is on it? Is it old? What make? Has it had oil changes?

is it just a track drift car or would u like it on the road aswell ?
if its just the track would welding the diff not be a better plan tighter won't loosein and cheaper
not for a road car highly illigle

If it's a road car I wouldn't be bothered tbh, I was under the impression it was for a drift car. Imagine driving around in weather like this with a diff :)

sorry should have stated that it is only a weekend car.its a silvia.:).shame not to have a diff..

Even many competition cars don't run a 2 way. A 1.5 way can do all the drifty stuff you'd ever need and is usable on the road....although you still have to be very much awake in the wet!

As has been said though, its far too vague a question to say if its a good idea or not.
