Crete, stalis Sanitation ?

Hi, thinking of heading there for the summer for 2 weeks with my gf, Would people recommend it. Ive also heard that the sanitation is poor over there. Can anyone give there own experiences of the place . Thank you

I have been in Crete twice (Malia and Hersonisis, on either side of Stalis,but I have been in Stalis)...I would highly recommend it. The sanitation problems you refer to are just that you dont flush toilet paper (there is a bin beside the toilet to put it into)....I have never seen any other issues....I think Crete is a great spot for a holiday !!!
