    This may be a stupid question but how do you turn down the volume on the college computers when you have headphones in? I've tried turning them down from the desktop but it doesn't work.

    Thanks :)

    Presumably down in the bottom-right corner (in the notification area) there'll be a volume icon? Unless the Windows 7 image in the college doesn't have that for some reason...

    That doesn't work, it won't open. Looks like I'm destined to go deaf in the computer suites!

    If it's restricted on the computer and all else fails you could use a set of headphones with in-line volume control. Or something like this to use your own headphones with;

    It seems restricted on all of the computers, the volume control earphones havent worked for me either!! I just adjust the volume on the youtube video or music clip, even then sometimes its still quite loud.
