Well finally got back on the road again this day last week after being 2 years away from full time driving, we had been a two car family for 8 years until 2009 when we had to downsize to 1 becasue of job losses. Unfortunalty my commute to work by bus was costing more then a car both in price the time taken.

So last week myself and the missus picked up two used cars, herself got a lovely Ford S-max in great condition while I got an older 02 Mondeo 2.0 TDCI Diesel with only 80,000 miles on the clock, thankfully it came with a garuentee from a main dealer.

As int he past 7 days it starting leaking oil, from an intercooler/EGr hose that had split, no problem the garage will replace, then last night on the motorway the back box on the exhaust came off. Thankfully it stayed attached to the chasis by the rubber mount so i could pull over and remove the remants of the exhaust and throw it in the boot.

So back off the road again as the garage fixes the car under warranty. the joys of motoring.
