    Hi,

I am just wondering if anyone has any advice in relation to running when you legs get painful around the calves area? This only happens when I run in particular longer distances, short distances are usually ok.

    Any advice?
    Thanks

Really? I think you'd need a bit more info than given before the OP before throwing that old chestnut out!

AG23, how often do you run? What do you mean by short and longer distances? Are you involved in any other sports? Do you wear different shoes on your longer runs than you do on the short ones?

It could be any number of things. One of which could just be plain ould lack of conditioning leading to aches and pains. Happens to the best of us when we over reach.
