I've had my ib cut and have applied for invalidity pension. This was refused and I've appealed on the grounds of new evidence. I've been informed that this could take over 6 mths. In the meantime i have no income. My partner works full time and with one mans minimal wage we have to pay all our outgoings . We have 3 children and cwo won't help as she said partner earns just over the cut off for a family with 3 children. My limit for food shopping every week is 45 euro and i have to ask relatives to help give children lift to and from school as we can't afford the petrol. Im in a desperate situation now and don't know where to turn. Does anyone know if there is anything i can Do. Thanks

Op, you need to take the letter you got from the hse and bring it into the social welfare office and fill in the form for job seekers, bring it up to the counter and show her the letter. You'll be put on js unit a decision has been made on your appeal.

Thanks rubygirl , but by going in jb does that not mean Im capable of work even though Im not ? Also i need to send in monthly sick certs even though ib had been stopped , but again should i be getting sick certs if Im on jb ? I.just don't want to mess things up. I have heard of people going onto jb while appealing but am just not sure if its the right thing to do..

No the letter you got turning you down should say to bring it with to for jb, tell them you are appealing and they'll put you on the benefit. That's what I did and had no problems. Send in your certs aswell.
