Phoenix Park closed at Castleknock entrance/ exit.

    FYI.

    Traffic leading into the Pheonix Park from Castleknock has been diverted away from the park, down to the Navan Road. Gardai have a car blocking the entrance and exit.

    The Ashtown Gate Road park entrance/exit is my new destination, but that too could also be closed.

    Traffic on the Navan Road(N3) city centre inbound is heavy.

    Oh and it's pissing rain too.

    They said on the wireless it was a suspect device near the knock maroon gate.

    I could hear the EOD team doing some work at 6:15 this morning- sounded like they were drilling or cutting something with heavy machinery.

    Okay, after doing a complete loop around the park and now at the bottom of Infirmary Road, the North Road entrance/exit meeting the North Road is open.

    A lot of Gardai presence in the area too.
