    Hi all.

    Myself and my girlfriend are going interrailing for 3-4 weeks on the 28th of May. I have made out a rough schedule and was looking for advice by people who have done it before. We're mainly looking at going to see sights and a few nights out a week during the trip as well. We have budgeted 2000 euro each for it.

    The plan would be something as follows:

    Barcelona(28/05-30/05) -> Marseille (31/05-01/06) -> Milan (02/06-03/06) -> Venice (04/06-05/06) -> Munich (06/06-07/06) -> Berlin (08/06-10/06) -> Poznan(definite) (10/06-11/06) -> Berlin(Or somewhere closeby) (12/06-13/06) -> Gdansk (13/06-15/06) -> Amsterdam (17/06-18/06) -> Brussels/Bruge (19/06-20/06) -> depending on funds possibly finishing in Paris or not.

    We'd be looking for accomodation in hostels but private rooms. Wouldn't want to spend more than 50-60 euro a day all in.
    Thanks.

    Berlin is an absolute must! I didn't want to leave when we were inter-railing. Do the free walking tour from paris square (in berlin) - but tip the guy cos they dont get a wage! Krakow was my other favourite city - absolutely stunning. Amsterdam... in fairness our hostel ended up in the wrong part of town but I feel thats it really is very over-rated.

    I highly recommend the generator hostel in berlin.

    Can anyone tell me how to best book a reservation on a train? Want to do it for a train from Berlin to Poznan on the 9th of June. Do I do it at a German train station when I get to Germany because I can't do it online?

    Try DieBahn website. Also, consider stopping in Nice, or the coastline beyond, instead of Marseille - which isn't so great if you only have a day.

    Thanks,

    Changed plans and am now going Barcelona-Paris-Brussels and around the opposite way instead.

    Can anyone recommend a good hostel in Amsterdam for a 2 night stay? Private double room preferably.
