    Hi,
    read somewhere that Saturn has less gravity then on earth ? despite having much more mass ... is this because on the surface the distance is greater (inversely proportional to the square of the dist) - Fg = G*m1*m2/d*d

    Where m1 = mass of object on planet surface
    m2 = mass of planet.

    d= distance between them (in this case the radius of the planet)

    So if Saturn is really sparse (even though has a huge mass) the acceleration
    of gravity will be less?
    then again, that above formula is not for g (accel.) it's for Fg ....

    how do you calculate g (accel.) ?
