Issue with Sky, being charged for 2 accounts.

can i ask the bank not to pay any amount other than an agreed monthly sum?
or rather will the bank agree to this ?

I dont want to cancel the new account, but they are charging me for an old account.

You can cancel a dd at any time by informing your bank. You should also inform the business concerned.

You cannot instruct the bank to pay specific amounts unless you were to set up a standing order or something like that - it sounds as if you want them to adjust the dds being received from Sky and there is no provision for that in the dd scheme.
