Windscreen replacement

Got a small crack at the bottom of left hand corner :( ...and its all my fault, it was so stupid and so angry with myself

Anyway by the looks of it, it needs to be replaced.

First question, is it ok to get this sorted with the insurance cover that I have? I do have windscreen replacement cover. Does it affect my no claim bonus? This is my big concern.

I tried to call few dealers to get a quote. I was quoted from €190 down to €150.

Question - will there be any difference quality wise based on the prices from various dealers or they are more or less the same?

Is €150 a reasonable quote or I can get somewhere cheaper?

    Thanks

Ring your insurance company. They'll tell you if you're covered for free windscreen replacement or not.

What level of cover do you have? Comp, 3rd party or 3rd party fire & theft?

Any fitted windscreen should be fine so go with whatever is cheapest from a specialised company.

I do have comprehensive insurance and I think it includes windscreen replacement. Just wondering if it will in any way affect my no claim bonus.

The cheapest I got from www.emeraldwindscreens.ie for €150. Anyone heard of them.

The second cheapest is www.autoglass.ie for €160.

Emerald will come and do at my place or office while I will have to go to autoglass in Tallaght else they charge €55 extra.

Generally it won't affect your NCB. Call your insurer to.clarify or read the policy booklet.

I'd not be getting quotes buddy. Your insurer will have a list of approved repairers you can only use that they will pay. Call your insurer.
