Mchale yard engine wrapper / Tanco stacking wrapper

I am having a big problem with mould. I use a combi baler ( don't ask what make it is, don't what to start that argument ) I draw straight away, no crows, draw bales with keltec bale handler, check all bale in yard if there tear before stacking, and repair any that do.
Still this year bales are in a bad state.
The best grass and tedding etc.
My question is does anyone have any first hand experience with either a Tanco stacking wrapper or mchale yard wrapper with engine. Do these prove to wrap with a good tight seal with little or no handling resulting in little or no mould?

    Mchale 911BER OR TANCO EH1300 or EH1320

4, but even haylage with 6 wraps would have a chunk of mould, not as bad mind you

What kind of wrap are you using?
If you put sh*t on, you'll get sh*t out as the saying goes

Is the mould all over the bales or is it only on the top side of a bale?
Are the bales on ground level covered in mould?
Edit: do the bales hold their shape well over winter?

    I use Volac, any good?
The mould could be any side of the bale, to be honest didn't take massive notice to what side the mould is on in relation to stacking position because I use a bale shear. All I know is the bales at the bottom of the stack tend to have less mould

How much mould are you talking about generally?

A little bit on most bales or a fairly large portion?

I use topwrap, think its manufactured by volac. I have no major mould problems with it.

After baling one year, i checked the top bales a few weeks later and they had tiny pin holes on top. It was caused by a cat.

I also noticed that very dry silage would tend to mould up on the outer layer of the bales when i used to turn silage. Gave up turning it and problem went away:confused:

Every second bale of silage basically would have a nice bit, a welcome sight to have any bale without any mould

    Mchale 911BER OR TANCO EH1300 or EH1320

    Possible causes
    1 Bad wrap
    2 Not enough wrap
    3 Cats BIrds etc
4 Too much wilting not enough moisture
    5 Bad handling

It may be trial and error your ruling out bad handling , that leaves 4 other causes . Use proven wrap eg Silotite etc , use nets over bales and down to ground, finally is it too dry? Only you can answer that one but I have seen this causing problems cut in evening leave overnight swarth at midday and bale in evening that's my routine usually works ok.

Too dry, didn't think that would be route problem of mould, as the haylage is dryer again and has less mould. Well I'd tend to have a heavy crop, cut @ midday, then ted it out, ted again the second day, take late that evening or next morning and bale. I am for less than 48 hours
