Interrailing

    I am planning an interrailing trip with 1 other person and possibly more. We have a rough route outlined. I would like some advice on the route.

    Dublin to Budapest
    Budapest to Bucharest by night train. Stay two nights
    Bucharest to Sofia by night train. stay 1 night
    Sofia to Belgrade by night train, stay 2 nights
    Belgrade to Zagreb. stay 2 nights
    Rijeka to Ljubljana. stay 2 nights with a day trip to lake bled
    Ljubjana to Munich
    Munich to Dublin

    This brings our total stay to 16 nights
    We were considering an interrail ticket that allows us 10 days travelling within 22 days it costs 257 euro. we plan to not activate the ticket until we go from Budapest to Bucharest

    Would it be be cheaper to pay for trains as we go? And if so does anyone know a price?
    What price is it for night trains and is it necessary to reserve?
    Where would people recommend to go in the different cities?
    Would 30 euro a day spending money be sufficient?
    Does anyone recommend any hostels along the way?

    Note that we done the interrail last summer but to the north Europe countries. We didnt take any night trains do. We have mastered spending two nights in a city. Spending a day and a half doing all the tours and seeing the usual city sights and the next day and a half exploring by ourselves and taking in the culture.
