Myself and my girlfriend are off to Lanzarote next week for 7 days. I'm just wondering has anybody been there previoulsy and have they found it expensive?

We are 24 and 25 and will be out everynight eating and drinking. Just wondering what the general cost is for an avaerage night out including a meal for two.

By the way people have being say to me the local beer is only €1.40 and while that might appeal to a lot of people it doesn't appeal to me. I will be drinking large bottles of cider where possible. Would anybody know how much they cost?

How much would a young couple bring to Lanzarote for a week?

    Thanks in advance :)

    Thanks for the reply.

Pints of which are €2? On a rough estimate, what would a young to mid 20's couple bring for spending money?

    Thanks :)

Most largers are €2,found one place that had san miguell at €2,bottled beer bud ect is the same price as here.

As for spending money I suppose €100 per day between you,you probably wont spend that much on the first and last day's,and the credit card on standby.

http://www.discoverlanzarote.com is a good website. As regards having cash with you, you can just take money out of the ATM's while you are there, there is no need to bring it all with you. Meals can be from €10 - €40 each in the main areas in Puerto Del Carmen, but all prices are displayed outside the restaurants. The restaurants in the old harbour are a little more expensive than the ones in the new town on the main strip opposite the beach. Heineken/Magners and the like are as expensive as here, but the local beers are nice and light in the heat and are much cheaper. Wine is also very reasonably priced.

My friend & I (both in our 20's) are just back from Puerto Del Carmen...Spent the guts of €800 between the 2 of us on food & drink & wouldve spent more if we had it..but that was us going out at 8 in the evening til 4 every morning..just bear in mind that pint bottles of cider (Magners) is possibly one of the most expensive drinks you can drink over there..the local beer thats €2 is generally San Miguel or Tropical..im not a big beer drinker but the Tropical is manageable but not available in every bar..Go for the bars that offer happy hour, we spent every night in the Big Apple in Centro Atlantico & it was around €12 for 4 vodkas, a 7up & a red bull..hope that helps!! Have a fabulous holiday :D
