    Hi All
I was wondering if you guys could advise if you think this jeep is a good buy or not.
Need a car for my wife and she is pretty keen on a Jeep.
I have taken a look at it yesterday evening and it seems to be a very clean and nice Jeep. The 6K price tag seems really good.
I had a good look around it and no bumps scratches etc.
No oil leaks and engine and gearbox seem perfect.
Wondering what you guys think. Only 70k miles too so all seems good for the price/condition of the vehicle. Is NCT'd and Taxed too.
We have a budget of 6000 and have not seen anything up in the years for such a good price.
    Opinions Please.
    Thanks in Advance.

Next time you go to see it, turn around 180 degrees and run away!!!!!

They're awful to drive, expensive to run, impossible to sell on afterwards and the merc engine in them is a 20 year old design and overall not that well made. There's far nicer cars out there. I'd be looking at Honda C-rv, Toyota rav4, landcruiser, pajero even if they were a little bit older.

I had a rexton for a few weeks as a company car and went back to my transit connect cos I hated it so much.

Had a RAV4 a few years back and wife loved it. As with so many others we thought we needed an MPV after we had our third child so bought a Mazda 5. We have a Vectra at the moment but it is currentl in for major repair for the second time in a year so it is now time to change.
Might have a look on Donedeal later to see whats out there. Thanks charliecroker. PS also had a transit connect tourneo along the way good car but found it very hard on fuel.

It should be an easy search, any vehicle you chose will be better then a Rexton!

Think you guys probably right. Going to pass on it. Thought I was going to have to change the engine on the Vectra but looks like I got away with just a water pump, timing belt and pulleys. Timing belt slipped on it on Friday. Might keep it for another few months and change in December.

Sure even if the belt broke you wouldn't need a new engine.

If the better half really wants an SUV then a CRV, rav 4 and maybe a grand vitara would be the best options IMO.

Neighbour has the CRV new model 2007 so that might come up in a bit and would be a real nice one to get.
Mechanic though originally that the timing belt had broke and the wife had been driving it at the time. Though there might be valve and piston damage but thankfully it looks like the damage is minimum.

Thanks for your suggestions. Am definately going to pass on the rexton.
